As a parent of three young children, I care deeply about the funding pressures on schools and families. It's an issue that comes up at DPAC meetings — where I'm Skwo:wech Elementary's representative — and in everyday conversations with other parents at the park.

A third-generation New Westie, I've owned a small business for 23 years and taught at BCIT for 13. My three kids are the fourth generation of my family to grow up in the city. I have deep roots in community organizing as the former Vice President of the Downtown New West BIA, current co-president of the Sapperton Business Collective, and a member of multiple City advisory committees over the last decade. I also am a founder of a social dads' curling group that has grown to include more than 30 local dads with kids in schools across the city.

Beyond schools, I'm a strong supporter of the green spaces and active transportation routes that make New West work for families.
